By 1752, the Barrett family successfully fulfilled the requirements to obtain a King's Grant farm in the southwestern corner of Mason, NH abutting the Massachusetts state line. This ground has sustained generations and continues to produce a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and livestock today.
In the recent past, Barrett Hill Farm has been managed by five generations of Davis-LeClair families. Pictures throughout our web site will attest to our involvement and demonstrate our optimism for the future.
In June, Barrett Hill Farm opens to the public for "pick your own" strawberries. This is truly an event which families incorporate into tradition. Gentle temperatures and breezes, bird song, a lovely vista, and the sense of accomplishment of their own strawberry harvest (be it a quart or many pounds) of delicious vine ripened berries.
But wait, there is more! The farm stand, located at the junction of Routes 31 and 124 is open daily from June until the end of September 9AM until 7PM. The farm stand demonstrates our appreciation of history - trees felled from our farm, hand hewed, and built with post and beam construction by the family. Within the farm stand, you will find a wide selection of our farm grown meats, fruits, and vegetables. Especially our CORN - "knock your socks off delicious!"
